About Hossa National Park:
Established in 2017, Hossa is one of Finland’s newer national parks, showcasing some of the most picturesque forests, lakes, and river systems in the country. The park is home to over 100 kilometers of marked hiking trails and numerous canoe routes, making it a paradise for outdoor enthusiasts.
Things to Explore:
Wildlife Watching: With over 300 species of birds, along with moose, bear, and beaver, Hossa offers ample opportunities for wildlife viewing. Stunning Lakes: Paddle through pristine lakes rivers, surrounded by lush forests and dramatic cliffs.
Canoe Trip Details:
Duration: Experience five days on the rivers and lakes, allowing you to explore different sections of the park.
Daily Paddling: Average paddling distance is around 15 -20 kilometers (9 - 14 miles) per day, suitable for all skill levels.
Campsites: Enjoy overnight stays at equipped camping sites along the river, featuring fire pits, picnic areas, and toilets.

Accommodation. Tent and two nights in a hotel.
Transportation. Participants will make their own way to Kuusamo in Finland which has good flight and train / bus connections to Helsinki. We will meet participants in Kuusamo.

Insurance. Participants are responsible for their own insurance. Travel insurance is recommended.
Included. Two guides (BCU 4* or 5* leader), High quality canoe + equipment, all food during trip, tent, transfers, one hotel night in Kuusamo before the trip and one after the trip.
