A sliding snowshoe is a handy combination of a ski and a snowshoe developed by the Finnish company OAC:

Trip itinerary

30 January: Arrival at Leivonmäki National Park, distribution of equipment, and introduction to sliding snowshoes.

31 January: We head out with a guide to explore the snowy landscapes of the national park. The route travels through varied terrain: forest trails, open bogs, and woodland. During the trip we stop to enjoy our snacks and the peaceful winter nature. Duration: approx. 5–6 hours. Distance: 8–12 km, depending on terrain and participants

1 February: A shorter excursion in another part of the national park. In the afternoon, return to the cabin. Shower and departure home. Duration: approx. 4–5 hours.
Arrival
Leivonmäki National Park is easy to reach by car. The nearest train or bus station is in Jyväskylä, from where we can pick up participants if needed. For those arriving by car, parking is available at the accommodation.
Friday: Departure from Helsinki at 15:00.
Saturday: Day trip in the national park, 5–6 hours.
Sunday: Day trip in the national park. Return to Helsinki around 19:00.
