Experience the enchanting nature of Kandersteg – hiking in the heart of the Alps
Kandersteg is a charming alpine village in the Bernese Oberland region of Switzerland – a place where rugged mountains and green meadows create the perfect landscape for nature lovers. Located at an altitude of 1,200 meters, the village serves as a gateway to the UNESCO World Heritage-listed landscapes and offers unforgettable hiking experiences.
Here, in the heart of the Alps, time seems to stand still. The hiking trails run through flowering meadows, old coniferous forests and at the foot of glaciers. The air is fresh, mountain streams make there lovely sounds and cowbells echo through the valleys. Every day offers a new view and a new moment to pause and admire the beauty of nature.
Hiking days – relaxed pace and great experiences.
The program includes day hikes, 5-6 hours of walking each day. The routes follow well-maintained trails, and on some days we will use a gondola lift to take us gently higher up the mountains.
During the day, we will only carry the necessary equipment and a packed lunch, so the backpack will remain light and enjoyable.

Price does not include: insurance. Travel to Kandersteg. Approx. 2,5h from Zurich airport. Several trains per day. Easy access from the airport, one change. Three dinners that we eat together in a local restaurant.
