The municipality of Brändö consists of more than a thousand islands, the landscape is very diverse; lush island groups, barren islets in the outer archipelago. For the locals living on the islands, of which there are about five hundred in the municipality, seafaring and living at the mercy of nature have been everyday life for centuries.
The Islands are well hidden and yet easily accessible. Kayaking is a great way to get to know the area. Paddling makes it possible to travel without disturbing anyone, no sound and no traces.
About the contents of the trip:
The price of the trip includes guide, accommodation and rent of a kayak (+PFD & paddle) and transportation from Helsinki to Brändö and back.
Meals are not included in the price. The cottage has a good modern kitchen.
We do two full-day trips to different parts of the Brändö archipelago, paddling around 15-20 km per day. On Friday, after arriving, we will do a shorter excursion of about 3-4 hours. We always choose the destination and route of the day trip according to the most favorable wind conditions.
The trips are designed for beginners and more advanced paddlers who are interested in exploring the unique archipelago of Åland Islands safely with a guide.
