The tiny archipelago of Lofoten on the North-western coast of Norway is a relatively unexplored trek destination. The peaks and ridges of Lofoten offer world class opportunities for mountain walking.
The first glimpses of the emerald green ocean beneath the mountain peaks will leave you awestruck. Furthermore everything is illuminated by the warm midnight sun. Up here in the North the water is never really warm, but after a long day of mountain walking you will welcome the cooling effect of the water.
Local contacts and ten seasons’ experience form the basis of the tour programme. I have drawn up the schedule with the finest peaks in mind. We will restrict our gear and equipment to the essentials, rainwear, a change of clothes and a packed lunch.
The walks on Lofoten are demanding and feature many steep ascents and frequently non-existent trails. However, the rewards of our efforts are the astounding views of the Atlantic Ocean and the peaks of Lofoten. In order to enjoy Lofoten, it is important that you have previous experience of mountain walking.
